CONDITIONS

The Music Writer’s Commissioning Fund seeks to elevate and support Australian music journalists and existing music media outlets.
By applying for this funding, it is expected that successful applicants agree to the following conditions.

• Editors must outline a funding breakdown and content plan with The Music Writer’s Lab project team.
  This includes outlining of the type of content this funding will be used to create.

• Editors must agree to a minimum of two published pieces of content.

• Editors must agree to engaging a participant of The Music Writer’s Lab, as well as indicated freelancers/staff writers of their own choosing.
  The Music Writer’s Lab team will supply successful applicants with a portfolio of created work by 2024 participants, and will facilitate connecting selected writers with editors.

• Editors must agree to supplying expected publishing dates for commissioned features.
  Note: The Music Writer’s Lab team reserves the right to withhold payment if conditions are not met, or material is not published by the project deadline of November 30 2024.

• Editors agree to publish content in accordance with a Code of Conduct.

• All published material will be featured on The Music Writer’s Lab website, and may be used for promotion with no additional payment.

• Participating media outlets will have their logos featured on The Music Writer’s Lab website and/or social media.

• Payment will be made to outlets upon publication of agreed upon content.
